Directing and Playwriting Workshops - spots still available! Whether you are entering the 711 Theatre Project or not - you can take part in our two workshops:

• Directing on a Deadline - taught by Ann Wilkinson and Ron Ziegler
  When & Where: 10 am - noon, Saturday, April 21 - Grand View College’s Viking Theatre, 2811 E 14th St, Des Moines
  Description: With only 7 days to take a play from page to stage, where should a director be focused? The key elements that every director needs to be sure is in place are discussed at the workshop (and if you find the time, the added extras you can add to take your play to the next level).
• 11-minute Playwriting - taught by Kathy Pingel
  When & Where: 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm, Saturday, April 21 - Grand View College’s Viking Theatre, 2811 E 14th St, Des Moines
  Description: The nuts-and-bolts of how to write an effective short play. Covering character development, plot, theme, conflict, climax and resolution as well as other topics.

Each workshop is only $10 and pre-registration is required - sign up online. Each troupe that enters the 711 Theatre Project gets one admission to each workshop FREE!

Remember - if you are looking to network to get a performance troupe together - take advantage of using our 711 Classifieds Section. Put up an ad saying you are either in search of a troupe or are a troupe searching for members.
