The 711 Theatre Project is part of the Theatre Iowa, Inc family, which is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit theatre organization and is presented cooperatively with Grand View University Theatre Department. The mission of the 711 Theatre Project is to empower all Iowans, artists & audiences, with greater opportunities to interact.

As the only known short-play competition with a deadline the 711 Theatre Project shifts from the focus from “finding” one’s vision to creating it. With 7 days to produce an 11-minute play and given the production values up front, performance artists are free to work together as a team to dream, dare and dramatize.
