Volunteer
We need your help. During the run of the 711 Theatre Project, we are in need of volunteers to help us by performing duties as Ushers, Box Office, and House Manager.
What are you being asked to do?
- House Manager - Oversees the volunteers in the box office and the ushers that evening. Will assist the other volunteers, if needed. Assures that the lobby area is running smoothly and effectively. Verifies the audience seating area is ready for use. Is stationed in the lobby the entire performance. Time commitment - 75 minutes prior to show until about 30 minutes after show is over.
- Box Office - Sells tickets for that evening’s performance. Handles cash monies and deals with “will call” list. Assists other volunteers, if needed. Is stationed in lobby until 30 minutes after show starts. Time commitment - 75 minutes prior to show until 30 minutes into the show.
- Usher(s) - Hand out programs. Assist people to seats. Makes sure the audience seating area is picked up after each performance. Assists other volunteers, if needed. Is stationed in both the lobby and the theater. Time commitment - 45 minutes prior to show until about 30 minutes after show is over.
- Consessions - Sell beverages and snacks prior to show and during intermission. Concession sales end 5 minutes prior to start of each act for restock/stowing. Time commitment - 45 minutes prior to show.
- Cast wrangler - Assist 711 committee members keep the flow of the show going by keeping the troupes on track in where they need to be and when. Time Commitment - TBD.
