We’re back and bringing you two shows this fall and winter!
First comes an original work that we are premiering on our stage that combines your favorite Britcoms with the fantastic. Take a smidge of “Fawlty Towers”, a dash of “The Goodies”, a pinch of “Good Neighbors”, ABBA, a George Romero movie or two, any six of Stephen King’s novels, and all of Irwin Allen’s SciFi series … and you have our September show, “The Amazing Adventures of Nigel & Bridgette.” Think of it as Rob and Laurie Petrie meet the X-Files – but in England.
Keeping with the Brit’s and the season - our December show, “Jacob Marley’s Christmas Carol” is a treat for the whole family. Instead of the stuffy and tight-collared productions of olde - here’s your chance to see what shaped Jacob Marley’s life and his soul’s journey while Scrooge was traveling on his fateful night. Bring the whole family and enjoy this change of view and come to realize the true meaning of giving.
After all the hullabaloo has calmed down from this year’s election - we’ll be announcing our next season. That’s right! We are shifting our season to the calendar year! Since our shows perform year-round, we thought it would just be simpler to schedule based upon the calendar. So consider these two shows a half-season to whet your whistle while we take a deep breath and dive into our new calendar format for 2009.
And yes, the 711 Theatre Project and Shakespeare in the Park will both return in 2009.
