About the show
A big fat fun-loving parody framed as a PBS documentary, Rush Limbaugh in Night School is studded with political and social satire. Not just for liberals, this play pokes fun at everyone as it asks questions even Dittoheads might ponder: What would happen if Rush Limbaugh, the most listened-to radio talk-show host in history, were somehow dropped into the middle of everything he opposes; the so-called counter culture? What if he fell for a feminist? What if the outspoken, right wing, radio talk show host actually began listening to leftists and environmentalists? Will this political fantasy enlighten, or merely provide some good belly laughs as it lampoons darn near everything? Taking gleeful potshots left and right, Rush Limbaugh in Night School skewers tree-hugging intellectuals, Limbaugh, his followers and media-maddened America with equal delight. Thatcher Williams dons Rush’s sarcastic shoes and romps with cast mates Mike Cornelison, Karen Burkett-Sandoval, Barbara Martin, Kate Van Haaften, Timothy Larson and Kyle Chizek. Directed by Ann Wilkinson, the parody is a perfect way to vent a little election year angst.
Love him or hate him, through the years the famous (infamous?) radio personality has given Americans a great deal to consider, argue over and finally, to laugh about. As November draws near, and both sides heat up the caustic political rhetoric, join the cast of Rush Limbaugh in Night School as they give Rush a satirical dose of his own medicine.
