About the show
First comes an original work that we are premiering on our stage that combines your favorite Britcoms with the fantastic. Take a smidge of “Fawlty Towers”, a dash of “The Goodies”, a pinch of “Good Neighbors”, ABBA, a George Romero movie or two, any six of Stephen King’s novels, and all of Irwin Allen’s SciFi series … and you have our September show, “The Amazing Adventures of Nigel & Bridgette.” Think of it as Rob and Laurie Petrie meet the X-Files – but in England.
Fellow Travelers into the Amazing …
We are Nigel & Bridgette … an ordinary loving British couple who, together with our perfect yet occasionally insufferable neighbors, Simon and Sara Jones, are thrown into one extraordinary adventure after another.
We’ve decided that it’s finally time our stories were told. If you will … a sort of “Survival Guide” for the day when you too, will be exposed to the extraordinary.
In our first foray into the unbelievable, we find ourselves the last humans left alive after a worldwide Zombie uprising - primarily due to Bridgette’s foresight in purchasing large lots of Platinum Plated Tea Services at Saks 5th Avenue. But will a surprising encounter with our former neighbors, Simon and Sara Jones, turn into the key for saving humanity, or an invitation to dinner…or both?
In our next incredible installment, Simon invents a time machine inspired by our formation of the “Quantum Leap Fan Club: European Division”. Then, after “accidentally” hurling ourselves through time and space, we find ourselves in a desperate attempt to restore the very fabric of the Universe before all of Creation is destroyed! That, or Nigel will forever become enslaved to Mistress Monique (Sara), and be forced to listen to ABBA pop tunes!
In our fitting finale, a bad hair day leads to more than just an empty can of White Sands hairspray. Rather! Who knew a visit to Marie Antoinette’s Hairdressing Salon could result in psycho-kinetic powers, and the destruction of mankind (literally)? Sara Jones will answer that question and more.
